Over twenty years of experience in the tufting industry, a constant drive for innovation and a constant curiosity about the needs of the market have made GrassInc. and Royal Grass what they are today: leading producers of Europe’s best artificial grass. Although they have many similarities, there are also differences between these two artificial grass giants. These differences are mainly in the type of customer and the specific needs of the customers they serve. GrassInc. focuses on national wholesalers and importers of artificial grass to distribute their products mostly under their own brand name. Royal Grass is an established global brand with a clear high-end profile, who focuses on developing a dealer network throughout the UK with direct supply from their UK warehouse to selected installers, to service end-users in the premium segment. To represent these two high-end brands we are looking for an incisive Area Sales Manager UK.

The position

In this challenging sales role, your work area is the whole of the UK and you will always be able to deliver a solution for the customer with the brands you represent. You will build on the successful paths taken and add any new sales strategies. Of course, you are not expected to do everything at once, but work in a focused way with both existing and new customers, based on solid business cases. To this end you will work closely with colleagues from both GrassInc. and Royal Grass. Acquisition, relationship management and business development are key in almost everything you will be doing. Naturally you will try to get the best out of every customer, in order to achieve a win-win situation. You will report directly to the Managing Director of Royal Grass and the CEO of GrassInc.

Your qualities

For this great position, we are looking for sales talent who after his/her commercial education (minimum BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma) has experience in b-to-b (international) sales. You have affinity with the garden branch, are young at heart, ready for a next step with a lot of freedom and are able to apply a suitable mix of traditional and modern account management. The customer and his/her potential are always central for you. You are a master at efficiency and a driven pragmatist for whom a deal is a deal. In addition, you have respect for the typical characteristics of each English region and you do not only communicate by e-mail. Of course, you are result-oriented, hands-on, decisive and aim to be successful at all times. You should not lack a sense of humour.
